Silvia Bolognesi

I just have to show Silvia's illustrations, they are so charming. What drew me was the delicateness of the colours used as well as the beautiful pencil mark making. I am particulary drawn to the animal illustrations she has drawn, but there many other unusual  and interesting concepts she has created too (see last image with the fish's). Silvia is one to look out for.

Peter James Carrington

I thought it was about time I introduced Mr Carrington (My sisters boyfriend). Currently in his last year at Uni and about to put a final year show up. If you are in Manchester around the beginning of June please go and check out his work http://www.artdes.mmu.ac.uk/degreeshow/ .

I've not seen any of his current work, but I just love his animal drawings he did last year, based on Taxidermy and Science. The compositions and concepts of his work is very clever and has made me look at animals from a totally new perspective. The detail and subtleness of his drawings really capture the eyes. I can't wait to what he has done for his final degree show.
