I thought it was about time I showed you my weaving which I made back in my uni days. I miss so much about uni like the weaving and printing rooms. I have my own loom at home which I can make all sorts of things on like table runners, blankets and throws. I want to make a few pieces for my room, but for now I shall reminisce over these pieces.
As you can probably tell I like to use a lot of different textures and materials.
I actually designed the car pattern one myself which was made on a Dobby Loom which is computerised.
I even attempted on many occasion's to print on my weaving. I am a qualified printer as well as a qualified weaver too.
Anyhooo hoped you enjoy'd looking through these images of my work and I would love to hear your thoughts.

Wow, these are amazing Anna! I find it so hard to get my head round textile work like this!
ReplyDeleteAmazing stuff - love all the textures! Love the way you've done the title too :) x
ReplyDeleteI would love to learn how to weave, it looks like a really satisfying thing to do, like knitting or crochet when you've finished a project, you can look at it and say 'i made that!' One day I'll get round to learning :) Thank you for showing your pieces.

It is the hardest craft to learn. The weaving is the easy part, its setting up the loom that is the difficult bit and it is bad breaking. Not for the faint heart'd. But don't let that put you off, it is also lots of fun ;)
DeleteOh Lord! What a tremendous patience you do have!! Beautiful weaving!
ReplyDeleteThese are so cool! x
ReplyDeleteThese are so incredibly beautiful. Your talents seem to be endless & I am jealous! I would love to be able to create something like this.

Gorgeous, oddly enough, I had a dream about weaving scarves last night. I blame you! I love the way you did the blog title.
ReplyDeleteGreat job.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the one with little cars.
I used to make a lot of jewelry and to sell it earlier, but now I do it just for hobby.
I love your header.
