I have bought quite a few bits and bobs in the last couple weeks, but these are my best buys. I'm going to a rock and gem show at Newcastle Racecourse this weekend so who knows what treasures will behold my eyes. I will hopefully be able to take photos of the show. But for now enjoy these delights.

I hadn't realised it was a first edition as I was flicking through it quickly and saw lots of colourful pages and so grabbed it with both hands.

Such a beautiful book, I have had my eye out for some books with scientific illustrations but haven't found any so far. I always love visiting your bog, so much great stuff to look at!

There's something about older illustrations...I just love them. Especially the ones of fish, birds, creepy bugs, etc. And don't even get me started about circus illustrations! They always look so whimsical.
