I'm sure you know by now if you have been following my blog that I sometimes like to do something different and get these great ideas that just pop into my head. I bought this book ages ago and covered it with a piece of map paper and then wasn't sure what to do with it. Well I decided to make it into a type of fathers day card. Below are instructions are on the D.I.Y if your interested in doing this for birthdays, Christmas, etc
You will also need a cutting board, pva glue, fine brush (preferably old), narrow pins and small hammer.
Cut out a rectangle shape from all the book pages (my book had thick pages) and then glue each sheet one on top of the other (you don't have to do that, but I chose to it).
Draw out all the letters and cut them out.
Tap the pins through each letter on a cutting mat and then hammer each pin with the letter on it still into the book (make sure to not go all the way through).
To make each letter stay in place at the top of the pin get your brush and dab a bit of glue under each pin head and secure letters underneath.
I have quite a few stamps and thought the corners could do with a bit of decoration.
I buy my stamps here
Hope you all have an awesome fathers day tomorrow.
